5.46″ Magnesite Sphere Citron Chrysoprase SPOS93

This magnesite sphere is just amazing. It has a wonderful color but most amazing is the uniformity of this material. Magnesite, also known as citron chrysoprase, is a nodular material with matrix in-between the nodules. Dale made this sphere from a very large nodule, pure magnesite with no matrix. Usually manmade materials are so uniform but this is the real thing!

Dale did a great job with this sphere. It is large, flawless and it has an excellent polish. The sphere is great for a sphere collection and outstanding for decor.

2.9″ Marble Sphere Under Melting Glacier SPOS108

This marble sphere has been part of our personal collection for many years. This material, although beautiful, is not rare but interesting. What is interesting about it is that it was collected from under a melting glacier. Although everything was under a glacier about 10K years ago,  this one was recently exposed to… warmer environment.

Dale made spheres from as many materials as possible and it would not let this one escape. The sphere is of excellent workmanship and it has wonderful patterns as well as a great polish.

The sphere is a great conversation piece but also very decorative.

4.54″ Orange Aragonite Sphere Decorative Rock BallSPOS31

Here’s an awesome orange aragonite sphere. It is large and it has beautiful white/light yellow banding and incredible orange colors (several shades).

Most of the orange is translucent to transparent. The sphere overall has a great polish (it shines like glass).

This aragonite sphere was made in China but Dale reworked it to his high standards. The sphere is great for a sphere collection and outstanding for decor.

3.4″ Septarian Sphere Aragonite Calcite Ball SPOS107

This septarian sphere is large and of excellent quality. This material is the inside of a nodule that looks like a mud ball. There are septarian nodules in various parts of the world and they all have have their own characteristics including colors. The nodule for this ball came from Madagascar.

Septarian consists of calcite (yellow) aragonite (brown) and clay (gray). The sphere has wonderful patterns and a great polish.

The sphere was made in Madagascar and it is great for a sphere collection and outstanding for decor.

4.8″ Septarian Sphere Large Aragonite Calcite Ball SPOS118

This septarian sphere is large and has beautiful patterns. This material is the inside of a nodule that looks like a mud ball. There are septarian nodules in various parts of the world and they all have have their own characteristics including colors. The nodule for this ball came from Utah.

Septarian nodules consists of calcite (yellow), aragonite (brown), and clay (gray).

We collected the septarian nodule in Utah many years ago.  This was one of the very few that were not mud balls.  Dale made the sphere and he did a great job.  The ball has wonderful patterns and a great polish but it also has a fill. The fill (visible in one of the photos) is not very noticeable but I know it is there so I reduced the price of the sphere.

Regardless of the fill it is outstanding for decor.

This is a wonderful Banded and translucent Mangano Calcite sphere. It has a soothing pink color but under a black light it glows a bright orange.

4″ Serpentine Sphere Jade Cove SPOS75

This serpentine sphere is large awesome. The colors and patterns are magnificent in black and dark olive green. We collected the material a long time ago at Jade Cove, California. Dale did great job with this sphere. The sphere has a great polish. There are a few insignificant healed fractures.

The sphere is great for a  collection and outstanding for decor.

Opalized Serpentine Sphere 3.5″ Australia SPOS94

This serpentine sphere jaw dropping spectacular. It is large and its colors are beautiful and sharp. There are greens and browns in various shades, white, black, and a little blue.

Dale made this beautiful serpentine sphere and his workmanship is outstanding.

The sphere is gorgeous and an outstanding collectors’ item. It is also great for decor.

2″ Serpentine Sphere Magnetite Pyrite SPOS115

Here’s a wonderful sphere of magnetite (black), pyrite (gold), and serpentine (green, yellow/green). There is a flaw however and I should point it out before you absolutely fall in love with it. The flaw is a light amber color fill and it is clearly visible in one of the photos in the gallery below.

The sphere is good for a  collection though and at a great price. It is not very often you find these material together.

This serpentine stichtite sphere is rather large and very attractive. The material comes from Tasmania Australia and it is also known as atlantisite.

This beautiful sphere is of excellent workmanship and has a great polish.

 The purple stichtite looks wonderful in the dark olive and light color serpentine.

It has about 3.6″ diameter (92mm) and it weighs about 2 lbs 5 oz.
