Return to Stone Spheres
This tiger iron sphere is loaded with tiger eye, hematite, and jasper bands and it is gorgeous! Tiger iron is a natural and awesome material from Australia.
Dale made the sphere and, as usually, his work is outstanding. There are small natural voids in the narrow bands mostly in the sections where all three materials are present in thin veins. This is most likely due to the different hardnesses of the three minerals (hematite is the softest).
The sphere is large, heavy (6.6 lbs ) and stunning. It has many bands of hematite (black), dark brown, red, and also yellow jasper, and very chatoyant tiger eye (yellow).

The sphere has a 4.7″ diameter and it weighs about 6.6 lbs.
