This corundum sphere is gemmy and has wonderful colors like red, purplish red, and (hard to describe) bluish/grayish purple. The photos were taken in bright sunlight.

It has a wonderful purplish/red color and it is very chatoyant. It also has hematite inclusions and bright star-like double spots on opposite sides that move around as one rotates the ball.

Here’s a very elegant ruby in feldspar shiva lingam. Shiva lingam is not a sphere not an egg; it is a symbol of the Hindu religion. In this case, it is also a gorgeous little stone.
The rubies are gemmy and have a wonderful purplish/pinkish color.
This ruby lingam was made in India and its workmanship is very good. There is a slight uneven feel to its due to the difference in hardness of feldspar and ruby.

2.9″ Ruby Zoisite Sphere Tanzania Gemstone SPG89
This ruby zoisite sphere is gorgeous and a great collectors’ item. Dale made it from a chunk of high quality ruby zoisite rough stone from Tanzania.
It has just perfect colorations in purplish red (ruby), green (zoisite) and black (hornblende). There are translucent, almost clear) sections with specs of zoisite, visible in one of the photos.
The sphere shines like glass. The rubies do not shine as much since they are the hardest of the three minerals.

The rubies are fluorescent and look great under the black light. They glow dark red under Long Wave UV.
