Ruby is the Birthstone for July
Here’s is an absolutely brilliant ruby sphere.
It has a wonderful purplish/red color and it is very chatoyant. It also has hematite inclusions and bright star-like double spots on opposite sides that move around as one rotates the ball.
The sphere also has tons of glittering concentric circles. There are insignificant fractures (do not affect the integrity of the ball) and surface imperfections including a 5.3mm wide chip (price is discounted to reflect those imperfections. See more photos of this sphere below.
This ruby sphere has about 1.59″ diameter (40.6 mm) and it weighs about 699 ct (139.8 g).
