This fossil clam shell sphere, also known as script or calligraphy stone, comes from India. The quality of the material and polish are both excellent (Dale reworked this one to bring it to his standards).
This script sphere has beautiful coloration and amazing patterns resembling hieroglyphics, thus the name “script”. In some of the photos one can see part of a large clam shell.
This material consists of a conglomerate of fossil clams and sand cemented together and petrified over millions of years.
