This is an exquisite quartz crystal geode sphere. The quartz is translucent to transparent with chlorite inclusions and honeycomb patterns resulting from the bases of the crystals inside the cavity.
The crystals in the cavity are clear and some, around the opening, have a hint of amethyst.
The sphere has about 2.3″ diameter (57.6 mm) and it weighs about 6.7 oz.
