Verdite is a beautiful and very decorative stone from Zimbabwe also called greenstone. It is mainly used for carving.
The stone has incredible marbling and a variety of shades of green as well as a little yellow.
Dale made the sphere and he did a great job. The polish is excellent.
The sphere has a 2.1″ diameter (54.4 mm) and it weighs about 8.5 oz.
