Return to Stone Spheres
Here’s an unusual and very interesting hematite sphere. Nothing unusual about a hematite ball but this one is different. Most hematite balls have a smooth and highly polished surface. This one is full of very shiny (mirror-like) or red/rusty vugs and amazing surface patterns.
Dale made this artistic sphere and gave it a good polish. There is a nice contrast between the polished surface and and the hematite stained vugs.
The approximate weight of the sphere is 9.25 oz and it has about 1.88″ diameter (47.8 mm).
