Dale made the sphere from the rare flowering tube onyx material which is mined in very small quantities in Utah. According to our latest information, there is not much of the good material left.
There are hairline and other fractures which are naturally healed over millions of years and are very normal for this material. Dale treated the fractures so they do not affect the integrity of the sphere.
The sphere has 1.43″ diameter (36.4 mm) and it weighs about 2.4oz.
