This is an almost complete petrified pine cone. It is a large cone of Auraucaria Elongata and it comes from Patagonia, Argentina.
This wonderful fossil pine cone section comes from our personal collection. We acquired this pine cone a long time ago when fossil pine cones were more accessible.
This cone is not polished. All sides are natural and weathered. It exhibits some detail on the outside but the inside looks like it is very well preserved.
This Fossil Pine Cone is a very rare collector’s item.
Origin: Patagonia, Argentina.

The cone, based on its largest dimensions, is about 4.2″ long 2.2″ wide and 2.2″ thick and it weighs 18.8 oz.
