There are rubies all over this ball including a large one you can see in the photo below. The matrix is granite.
The rubies are gemmy and have a wonderful purplish red color. The sphere was made in India and its workmanship is very good.
There are unavoidable surface imperfections. This is due to the difference in hardness of the rubies which are very hard and the granite.
