Although not 100% clear, it is very close to it. There is a small section inside the crystal with a light phantom and a tiny one close to the surface. There are quartz spheres 100% clear and they are very expensive. This one is an incredible REAL QUARTZ sphere (not just glass from China).
Quartz spheres are not photogenic because of all the reflections and also the images behind them that can be seen through the clear sections. This one is so clear, you see everything through it and reflections of nearby objects. A small square-like image visible in two of the photos is just another reflection of something.
Its approximate weight is 7.8 oz, and it has about 2.1″ diameter or about 54 mm.
