Ruby is the Birthstone for July
This ruby sphere is just wonderful.
It has a beautiful wine (purplish/red) color and it is very chatoyant. It also has hematite inclusions and bright star-like spots on opposite sides that move around as one rotates the ball.
The sphere also has beautiful glittering concentric circles.

This ruby sphere has about 1.53″ diameter (39 mm) and it weighs about 629 ct (125 g).
Origin: The sphere was made in India and its workmanship is excellent. There are insignificant fractures mostly present in corundum spheres.
