Return to Stone Spheres
This Pyrite sphere from Peru is very attractive and full of vugs with pyrite crystals. It is yellow, it glitters, and it is heavy but it is not gold. Well it is fool’s gold or iron pyrite (FeS2, iron and sulfur).
The sphere is outstanding and great for a sphere collection or decor. It was made in Peru but Dale reworked it to make it round and give it a nice polish.
The approximate weight of the sphere is 10.3oz and it has about 1.95″ diameter (49.7 mm).
