1.9″ Rare Polish Flint Sphere SPR51
Dale made this rare polish flint sphere and he did a super job. Flint is a variety of quartz . It is very hard and very brittle stone and because of that it takes a great polish. This particular flint comes from Poland and it is prized for its amazing patterns.
The sphere has exquisite patterns and it shines like glass.

4.9″ Indian Paint Rock Sphere Death Valley California SPR71
This Indian Paint Rock sphere is jaw dropping gorgeous. Indian Paint Rock comes from Death Valley, California. The location has been closed to collecting since Death Valley became a National Park and this beautiful material is getting rather scarce.
The sphere has very attractive colors (red, reddish/brown,yellow, pink, tan, and black) and outstanding and very artistic patterns (all natural nobody painted on the sphere).
Dale, made this exquisite sphere but the art is all done by Mother Nature! The workmanship of the sphere is outstanding. Please note than Indian Paint Rock (not that it needs it) does not take a polish. It has a silky matt finish but the hematite lines shine nicely. There is a lot of beauty in this awesome sphere and it is a pleasure to hold and admire it.

2.8″ Rare Black Jade and Magnetite Sphere California SPR67
Dale made it but also collected the material for this sphere at Stoddard Wells, California. There was not much material then and I am not sure there is any more left at this location. We used to go rock hunting there often because there were other things to be found such as actinolite and verde antique marble.
This black jade and magnetite is an amazing ball! The jade (nephrite) has wonderful and varying shades of gray/green color including black.
The magnetite is very shiny and has beautiful patterns. The magnetite can be gold plated with outstanding results. I do not know how it is done for sure, but I have seen this material with gold plated magnetite.

3″ Rare Zebra Stone Sphere Australia SPR56
Here’s a rare and absolutely gorgeous zebra stone sphere from Australia.
Unlike a crystal ball, there is so much to see ON rather than IN the sphere. There are critters and structures and … whatever your imagination can see… All these patterns are natural and that’s what makes this material so unique and special. Nobody painted on this sphere!
Dale made the sphere and he did a wonderful job with it. The sphere has a silky matt finish (zebra stone does not take a shine). The darker colors as well as the “smudged” ring in one of the “poles” are all natural and part of this material. See more photos of this sphere.
The sphere is excellent for a sphere collection and great for decor. It has about a 3″ diameter (78.4 mm) and it weighs about 1.4 lbs.
Origin: Western Australia.
Shipping is free in the US only. For other countries there are various options. Please see Store Policies.
Price: $385.00.

1.26″ Yttrium Fluorite Sphere Fluorescent SPR70
Yttrium Fluorite is an interesting and rather rare stone. It is fluorite (CaF2) with some of the calcium replaced by Yttrium. Yttrium also causes the fluorescence in fluorite and in this sphere glows yellow under SW UV.
Dale made the sphere. The stone is rather opaque and has a very light pinkish lavender color. He cut it from a specimen of botryoidal yttrium fluorite. That is why there is a beautiful honeycomb pattern on the surface of the sphere.
The sphere has a 1.26″ diameter (32 mm).
Origin: Mexico.

1.2″ Yttrium Fluorite Sphere SPR28
Yttrium Fluorite is an interesting and rather rare stone. It is fluorite (CaF2) with some of the calcium replaced by Yttrium.
Dale made the sphere. The stone has a very light lavender color. It is rather opaque and fluorescent (purple LW UV). There is notch about half inch long and 0.3″ wide that was in the rough stone. Dale decided not to remove the notch as the size of the sphere would have been considerably smaller.
